Settled WRONGFUL DEATH case for family of
Settled WRONGFUL DEATH case for family of 98 YEAR OLD decedent who died from injuries sustained in accident between truck and decedent on MOTORIZED SCOOTER. Seven figure settlement was obtained on behalf of widow and five adult children. Decedent’s ADVANCED AGE and possible COMPARATIVE FAULT added to difficulty of settlement.
TRIP AND FALL on sidewalk that had
TRIP AND FALL on sidewalk that had been outfitted with covered power cord to accommodate OUTDOOR DINING PARKLET. Plaintiff claimed that cord cover was inappropriate, creating a tripping hazard. Elderly plaintiff sustained cervical VERTEBRAL FRACTURE as well as facial lacerations.
SEXUAL ABUSE case in which plaintiff claimed
SEXUAL ABUSE case in which plaintiff claimed that she was abused for years by a COACH employed by a PUBLIC SCHOOL and that the school failed to address the abuse. Issues of NOTICE and extent of damage suffered were contested. Plaintiff made claim several decades after the abuse under AB 218.
